Barnyard Mix Chicks can be any combination of any hen and any rooster breed we offer! These are the "oopsies" (hen escaping and galavanting with random roosters), "ohhh nooooo" (I think I put this egg in the wrong basket) and our VIP pen (Very Important Peckers).
Our VIP pen is a collection of random breeds, unknown breeds, and some of our favorite birds who don't have another place to go. They are lead by our favorite all-time rooster "Eddard Cluck of Featherfell". He is an Easter Egger rooster who is the bestest, sweetest boy ever. His hens include: Mr. Bo Jangles- she is a sassy, little Olive Egger who lays daily and bosses everyone around; Tyra- she is a gorgeous little black Ameraucana who is just a little too small to be in the Ameraucana breeding program, but lays HUGE , beautiful blue eggs daily; Queen Margaret- the Speckled Sussex who hates Speckled Sussex and refuses to lay an egg if she isn't with Eddard; and Catelyn- a beautiful little blue hen who was supposed to be a Whiting True Blue, but lays a gorgeous dark brown egg!
Disposition, growth rate, and egg lay rate can vary greatly depending on breeding. Some have crests, cheek fluffs, or feathered legs.
